Born and raised near Seattle Washington, I consider myself a true Northwest native at heart. When I'm not hard at work on projects, you can find me hiking around the Pacific Northwest. I grew up 20 miles north of Seattle and currently live just outside the Cascade foothills with my wife Sarah and our two dogs, Manning and Baxter.
When I was young, my mom was a computer instructor at a local college so we were the first kids on the block to have a computer. We were also the first with the internet, which is when I began building websites. As much as I loved building websites, a few years ago I realized my true passion is actually marketing, and that building awesome websites was only part of that. So I went back to school to learn more about marketing so that I could make my websites more effective and watch them succeed.
In 2015 I made the leap. I quit my day job and started working as a freelance web designer & digital marketer. Since then, I've met many amazing people and learned many great things. I'm certain that venturing out on my own was the right call. I have no regrets, and wake up each morning ready to tackle the day and make more continue my growth.
If you'd like to work with me or are interested in getting to know me more, please feel free to contact me. Thanks again for visiting!
Creatively, designing websites is my bread and butter. But websites are not all I do. I enjoy designing the occasional logo from time to time. I also like to draw, paint, pastel, 3D doodle and toy around with several other art forms.
Photoshop is one of my favorite tools. I'm dabbling in photography and even do some video work now and then.
This section of my website is a collection of work I've done both professionally and personally. I put my heart and soul into all my work, so I hope you'll enjoy this ever growing portfolio in progress.
Marketing is fascinating. The most talented people in the world could create the most magnificent content, tools, or products. But without good marketing, those creations may never take flight.
Thanks to the internet, it's easier than ever to get the word out, but still not always a slam dunk. We've all heard of things going viral, spreading like wildfire and blowing up overnight. While that's certainly possible, it's much more rare than you might think.
These days the industry is flooded with a ton of tools and resources to make marketing easier. But sometimes it can be difficult to know where to begin. Learning what tools suit you best and are worth your time and money can be stressful and time consuming.
As I learn and grow as a digital marketer, I want to share my tips, tricks and resources with you. Sharing this knowledge and building community is vital, so I hope you will visit regularly and contribute where you can. Please enjoy these marketing resources!
Many years ago before I had ever even heard or WordPress, my brother and started building a website around a common passion of ours. Growing up in the great state of Washington, had come to love the different outdoor adventure sports and hobbies. So together we build a website called TrailsLive.com.
The original concept was to create a database of all the local hiking trails, which could be sorted by length, altitude, season, etc. This was before any other such sites existed. Eventually other websites came about with similar features, and honestly did it much better than we could, so we decided to switch formats.
We transitioned to a media based website and focused on writing articles and sharing outdoor related media that we found on the web. But as the years wore on and life got busier, we were unable to dedicate the amount of time required to keep TrailsLive going. So we reluctantly shut the project down.
Laying dormant for years, the posts were stored on my hard drive collecting virtual dust. I'm not sure how much value there is in unearthing those posts but I've decided to archive them here on this website and possibly even add to them as time permits. If you're an outdoors enthusiast, I hope you can appreciate the time we spent pulling these media sources together. Enjoy!
In my opinion, there are a few key areas of life that you need to really be on top of. Otherwise everything else will be impacted negatively. Relationships, health and finance.
Finance is the least important of those three, but important nonetheless. The problem is, I never knew what I never knew. Meaning I didn't realize that my financial house was our of order. I lived life paycheck to paycheck with debt looming over me, and I didn't even realize that my life was a mess.
As they say, ignorance is bliss...
Once we learned the truth about how finance really works, it wasn't too difficult to climb out way our of debt and land in a pretty good position. And while we still have a lot to learn, we also have a lot to offer. So I've written and collected some helpful info to show you how to turn your financial life around too and start winning like never before.
